The nineteenth edition of Al Ard Film Festival (#AAFF) will welcome documentaries (both feature-lenght and short) and short film of any genres/sub-genres (fiction, animation, experimental, etc) as long as they are about Palestine and/or the Arab world and are published from 2019 onwards.

AAFF invites filmmakers from all over the world to submit their film that will go through a selection with the chance to be part of the one-week festival in Cagliari (Sardinia), which includes screenings, Q&A with the audience, an awards ceremony, and a closing live concert.

Regular deadline: November 30, 2022

In the upcoming 19th EDITION we welcome the following submissions:

– Documentaries about Palestine and/or the Arab world: Features and short!
– Any other genres (Fiction, Animation, Experimental, etc) about Palestine and/or the Arab world: Short films only!

All films matching the above conditions, published from 2019 onwards, are more than WELCOME!

THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT ON SUCCESS! WE ARE ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FROM ALL AGES, WORLDWIDE!

OVER €6000 IN AWARDS, with the first prize up to €1500 ($1600)!

As our mission is to help independent filmmakers, the submissions to Al Ard have always been free of charge and this will stand for this upcoming edition too.
