Al Ard Film Festival is organised by Associazione Amicizia Sardegna Palestina, a volunteering organization founded in 1997 in Dolianova, Cagliari, Sardinia. Since our foundation, we have been committed to promoting the fundamental rights of all people, with a particular focus on Palestine.

Our mission is to bring awareness to the living conditions in Palestine, where Palestinian people are struggling for their freedom against the ongoing Israeli occupation, as well as in Palestinian refugee camps both within and outside of Palestine, where Palestinians are fighting for their right of return.

The Palestinian struggle is often overlooked in Europe and the Western world, which is why we are dedicated to supporting filmmakers who choose to tell these important stories and shed light on the Arab world.

In addition to film screenings, we also organize seminars, conferences, art exhibitions, musical events, and book presentations. We believe in the power of international solidarity and often work with other organisations and participate in local cultural and political events in Sardinia.
