Four children from a refugee camp in Bethlehem yearn to see the sea for the first time. Facing restrictions and living under difficult circumstances, they embark on a journey driven by sheer imagination and determination. Their adventure becomes a symbol of resilience, capturing the spirit of children who, despite their realities, hold on to hope and the simple joys of life.

Ibrahim Handal is a Palestinian filmmaker and cinematographer from Bethlehem. In 2019 he obtained his BFA in Cinematography at Dar Al-Kalima University. He directed several narrative and experimental short films and he also worked as Director of Photography on various short films including the Cannes Cinefondation 2019 winner Ambience by Wissam Al Jafari, Sawsan by Saliba Rishamwi, Between you and Me by Majdi El-Omari and The Deer’s Tooth by Saif Hammash. He also worked on several feature film productions in Palestine in the camera and lighting departments. He is developing his first feature film. He directed the short films Cold (2017), Him and I (2019), Bethlehem 2001 (2020) and A Short Film About a Chair (2023).
