The filmmaker, by examining masculinity through the lens of vulnerabilities, repression, and gender role construction, encourages a profound revaluation of the male Arabic identity, advocating for a reconnection to the more primal, emotional, and sensitive sides of men’s nature. Masculinity is a new form of collective resistance, and individual solitude is an active or passive form of resisting societal norms or societal pressures.

Daniela Delerci is a Sardinian choreographer and movement director of DCollective. Through her work she connects her Sardinian origins with universal social narratives, offering a profound exploration of belonging, identity, and memory. In 2020 she won an MFA Choreography with the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. In the past two years, she created a new work for The Eifman Academy of Dance performing the premiere in the Alexandrisky Theatre of Infinity Mirrors, and for Contemporary Cairo Night 2023 and 2024. She also collaborates with the National Center of Aesthetics in Yerevan, Shadi Vadae from Iran, Grégoire & Co-LE LIEU and Unpack Studio Havana Art Residency.
