Harby-Bemmann is an Egyptian, Kuwait-born filmmaker, producer, anthropologist, and writer currently pursuing a PhD in Media Anthropology. She holds a master’s degree in Visual Anthropology and Documentary Practice from WWU Münster. She co-founded a media production company in Germany, moreover she directed short films in Egypt, and co-authored the feminist books: Wings, Beyond the Borders (2023) and Grandmothers, the Richness of Memory (2024).
