The Pump Agreement is a black comedy about colonial agreements and Arabs in Palestine. It tells the story of two young third-generation Palestinians in exile, living in refugee camps in Lebanon, as they search for a solution in the aftermath of the Oslo Accords.

bio
Ahmad al-Khalil is a Palestinian filmmaker, born in the diaspora in Saudi Arabia and raised in Lebanon. He studied film in Iran and Lebanon, and in 2009 he worked with Palestinian organizations on archiving and documentary projects (camp biographies) focusing on the history of Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. Between 2015 and 2023, he toured Europe, particularly Italy and Berlin, presenting short films on the Palestinian diaspora and photo exhibitions documenting migration routes through Turkey, the Balkans, and Europe. In 2023, following October 7 and in the shadow of the genocide in Gaza, he produced 25 television episodes titled Stories from Gaza, documenting daily life under war through close collaboration with videographers and journalists inside Gaza. He also directed Ya Maha (2023), a 28-minute short film portraying life in the Burj al-Shamali Palestinian refugee camp during Lebanon’s fuel crisis.
